Sustainable Vision

Twintex's commitment to sustainability is based on the belief that a healthy community depends on a healthier planet. As a manufacturer of the world's most exclusive brands/designers, Twintex recognises its responsibility to actively address the challenges facing the fashion and luxury industry, with the aim of reducing its environmental footprint and promoting positive "green" changes in supply chains. Twintex is aware of the power of collaboration and therefore hopes to maintain stable partnerships in order to achieve the objectives set by 2030.

Twintex's environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria are guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which are constantly analysed in order to integrate these goals into our decision-making and contribute the power to innovate for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

SDG 1. No Poverty

In 2014, Twintex has launched the Twintex Life Card, which is a discount card available to all workers and 1st degree families that encompasses a wide range of services in the 3 surrounding cities in order to support and facilitate access to food, health, well-being , leisure, etc. Through it, Twintex is able to support entire families while empowering local businesses.

Twintex is also connected with the main Portuguese Associations to deliver adequate living conditions to Community.

SDG 2. Zero Hunger

Twintex maintains a strong relationship with the Covilhã Red Cross, Fundão Social Action, Vida e Paz Community, and many others, whom the company works with to provide supplies to many families.

SDG 3. Good Health and Well-being

Twintex provides free medical care to all its employees and their first-degree family, as well as visual screenings, breast cancer screenings and all information related it.

New parents receive a full baby care kit and all necessary follow-up.

SDG 4. Quality Education

Twintex has the concept - Twintex Academy - which aims to Qualify and Requalify Human Resources through relevant partnerships with Modatex and Beira Interior University.

Partnerships with Universities and Schools lead Twintex to be one of the main companies that qualify new generations in the labor market.

SDG 5. Gender Equality

Twintex has 57% women and 43% men in senior management and everyone has fully access to same opportunities.

Diversity and Inclusion policy was settled.

SDG 6. Clean Water and Sanitation

Twintex is commited in the careful use of natural resources such as water, so the manufacturer invested in a water cycling system to reuse rainwater and it has invested in controlled taps to avoid water waste.

SDG 7. Affordable and Clean Energy

Twintex works with 100% of energy from renewable sources.

Installation of Photovoltaics Panels in 2013, 2014 and 2021 which produce 75% of own energy.

SDG 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth

Twintex guarantees voluntary work and safe work environment.

All direct and indirect employees are covered by Twintex's CSR programme which garantees secure working conditions in the supply chain.

Twintex was distinguished by the City Council of Fundão as the biggest employer in Fundão with health and safety conditions.

Strong partnerships with IADE - Universidade Criative and with UBI - Univerity of Beira Interior for the development of research and improvement projects.

Artificial Intelligence in all facility through a custom software.

SDG 10. Reduced Inequalities

Excellent relationship with the Fundão City Council, with which Twintex promotes social, economic and political inclusion projects for everyone.

Twintex maintains control over internal and external assessments to analyze both well-being of employees and the impact on society.

Twintex is certified with ISO14001 - Environmental Management, which means that adequate methods of environmental protection are followed.
